This big, pink, motherly Pokemon is basically a requirement on any Red and Blue team.
It has poor attack, speed, and its special is only just good enough. However, it has absurdly high HP , allowing that special bulk to go a long way. In a game where psychic-types have no counter, Chansey is their greatest nightmare. Chansey has access to screens, self-healing, and paralysis, giving it seriously good utility.
In its last move spot is typically Seismic Toss, since its poor offense can be covered by a move that deals a set amount of damage. It has its counters, but Chansey is one of the Pokemon that seriously shaped the Red and Blue metagame. Consider yourself lucky if you manage to find and catch it.
