You can't modify this file and upload it to other sites under your name. You can't upload it to other sites. This is not a complete list with all the games and codes for the genesis. Just all the codes I made. But you can see that I pretty much covered all the important games, and some other really bad games too.

How to Easy, each code has his corresponding effect to the top, and if some notes applies, they are marked with [? Other thing to have in mind, if there appears two or more codes, one below the other, without one empty line of separation it means that all of those codes are needed. Put your game cartridge in the game genie cart and then put both, now in one block, in the genesis.

Push the power button and the screen with the codemaster, and galoob, names will appears. You will see in the superior part of the screen spaces where the codes will be writen and at the bottom of the screen will be the letters and numbers that you need to use to write the codes. Sadly it has a 5 code limitation.

The game genie will not work with pirate games. And with some of the save methods used in some carts it will not let you save your game. You not need master codes in real hardware. Enter the codes with the switch on the right of the game genie cart in off, and when the game start push it on again. That depends on the emulator to use. The two recommended are Gens and Kega Fusion.

Send Skip Hide. Message Sent. Strangely, however, these messages are not always accurate. Sometimes the game can be played on hardware from a region the message would seem to suggest is incompatible. On rare occasions it might swing the opposite way where the message implies the game is compatible with certain hardware but it turns out not to be.

Lots of others have the same quirk. If any Chinese or otherwise unlicensed games are region locked please let me know and I will add them to the list and try to create Game Genie codes for them. The original and superior formatted version of this guide is available in that thread. I highly recommend using that as opposed to this gimped version that's much harder to read. Let me know if any games still have problems on real hardware despite the codes. Some games have up to 4 or 5 codes to crack the region lock. If anybody can cut them down to 2 or 3 that would be great. Note that in some instances a game will be region locked in one territory but not in another. This list takes into consideration the most restrictive region. So, for instance, even if the Japanese version may not be region locked, the game will still appear on this list if the USA version is or vice versa.

If a game appears multiple times under different titles it will be starred and the alternate titles will follow the entry. Alternate titles will only be noted if the version of the game bearing that title is also listed.
