I have a webman MOD. The challenges i have are: i dont have an ethernet cable, my fat ps3 has no IP address it is blank, only a MAC address , and i just took some advice from Coro to use a USB flash drive on Multiman. If you connect the PS3 to your router via wifi, then it will get an IP address from the router.

You could take the harddisc, attach to pc and use WinHiip as mentioned above. I want to buy a harddrive for the ps2. Do i need a certain amount of Gb. OR a certain name. Only WinHip will be able to view the drive. This is normal as the drive has non standard format for the PS2. I am very confused. There are a few known compatibility issues with some non-Sony Hard Disk Drives such as some modern Segate drives. These cause problems when used in conjunction with older models of the official Sony PS2 Network Adapter. Both a Sony and a standard IDE hard disk drive are shown below.

Now, attach the Hard Disk Drive to the Network Adapter by lining up the IDE and power connectors and pressing firmly, as shown in the picture directly below. After doing some reading on this what seems to be great some i saw that you can hook it up to ya pc and copy ps2 images on the the formated ps2 hdd, it all seems a bit simple really i just hope its not to good to be turn but anyway it does really seem great.
